The Marvelous Misadventures of Sebastian

High taxes have a trickle down effect. When the Regent’s treasurer comes to collect more money from the Baron, Sebastian knows this will be followed by “lean fare at the Baron’s table and leaner fare at the servants’ board.” The visit also precipitates Sebastian’s dismissal and the beginning of his adventures through the oppressed kingdom of Hamelin-Loring.
